Identity, Language and Culture.

Identity, language and culture.

Culture is an important part of children's identity. We believe it is important that children are confident in their own culture and understand and respect other cultures. We foster practices which value and develop children's home languages and cultural values. We believe that this is best achieved through respectful engagements with parents/whānau in sharing cultural knowledge to nurture the child's whole being - body, mind and spirit. We also love to offer  whānau the opportunity to come into our Centre and share other parts of their identity and culture: stories, food, language, rituals. High quality education and care is paramount to us so that we ensure we are promoting the wellbeing, acceptance and inclusion of all children from all cultures.
