Te Tiriti o Waitangi Partnership

Quality Practice Template: Te Tiriti o Waitangi Partnership

At Pt England KIDS, we collectively value our bicultural curriculum and use this as the foundation to ensuring we honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi through our practice, policies as well as within our environment. We Implement Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles of participation, protection and partnership into our daily routine.

Participation: We ensure that the goals and aspirations our Māori whānau have for their tamariki are present in our curriculum and that they are included in all decisions made when it comes to the learning of their tamariki.

Protection: of Māori taonga such as te reo Māori, tikanga practices, knowledge, identity, values and culture.

Partnership: Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with our Māori whānau and community.

We are proud of our heritage and our commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and our learning environment is shaped by Māori values and tikanga.
